FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: infrared collimator has a lens, a focus target, a device for measuring temperature of the focus target and a control device. The focus target is placed in the focal plane of the infrared collimator in front of a background radiator which is equipped with an actuating element. The output of the device for measuring temperature of the focus target is connected to the first input of a device for stabilising the level of contrast radiation, whose output is connected to the actuating element of the background radiator. The output of the control device is connected to the second input of the device for stabilising the level of contrast radiation. The device for stabilising the level of contrast radiation has a processor, a device for measuring temperature difference between the background radiator and the focus target and an output stage. The first and second inputs of the processor are the first and second inputs of the device for stabilising the level of contrast radiation. The output of the device for measuring temperature difference between the background radiator and the focus target is connected to the third input of the processor. The input of the output stage is connected to the output of the processor and the output is the output of the device for stabilising the level of contrast radiation.
EFFECT: high accuracy of monitoring basic parameters of thermal imaging devices by increasing accuracy of maintaining a given level of contrast radiation when ambient temperature varies, and broader functional capabilities of the infrared collimator by allowing maintenance of different levels of contrast radiation.
