FIELD: optical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical instrumentation and concerns an infrared collimator. The collimator contains a lens, a mira node, a mira node temperature meter, a temperature difference meter between the background emitter and the mira node, a control unit and a processor unit. The mira node contains two miras in the form of thin opaque plates installed with a gap one after the other in parallel planes perpendicular to the optical axis of the collimator. Each mira has a triangular-shaped through slot in the central part. The axes of symmetry of the slots are at an angle to each other. The miras are installed with the possibility of simultaneous reciprocating motion relative to each other, each along the axis of symmetry of its slot, perpendicular to the optical axis of the collimator, forming a test object of a quadrangular shape with variable size. Each mira has a drive and a displacement sensor connected to a processor unit.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of obtaining an infrared signal at the output of the collimator with a variable spatial size and a variable level of contrast radiation, which makes it possible to measure the detection characteristics of thermal imaging devices operating in the tracking mode for receding or approaching objects, and to control their parameters.
