FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method includes creation of a field of mechanical stresses in a solid body that exceed the limit of its strength from action of powerful impact waves, a source of which is a discharge channel generated between electrodes installed in the body and high-voltage pulses connected to a generator. In process of damage the amplitude of the 3rd harmonic of current is registered in the low-voltage circuit of high-voltage pulse generator supply in case of breakthrough of solid or liquid media, they are compared, and based on results of comparison of amplitudes, a decision is made on efficiency of solid body damage.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to monitor process of electric pulse damage of solid bodies by one current harmonic, optimises this process by efficiency and increases accuracy of monitoring.
