FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic flowmeter transducer of liquid and gaseous media in pressure pipes has a housing connected to a matching layer, a detecting element mounted inside the housing and connected to a damper. Inside the housing, there is a frequency-setting resonant element connected to the detecting element, the matching layer and an insulator which is separated from the housing.
EFFECT: improved damping properties of the detecting element owing to stronger signal damping by increasing the contact area between the frequency-setting element and the damper and increasing deformation of the frequency-setting element, wider spectrum of the emitted signal by generating two resonances with close frequencies in the frequency-setting element.
