FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of instrumentation and can be used as part of ultrasonic gas flow meters. Ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer contains a metal case, a waveguide, a threaded element, a cover, a piezoelectric package of piezoelectric elements pressed against the upper surface of the waveguide and the lower surface of the threaded element by means of a spring. The spring has threaded parts, which are connected to the threaded ends of the waveguide and the threaded element, respectively. The middle part of the spring is made with a U-shaped bending section. Between the piezoelectric elements there is a stainless steel contact plate coated with a thin layer of metal having high ductility. The metal housing is made in the form of a stepped bushing and consists of an acoustic insulator in the form of a thin-walled section of the middle part of the housing and an acoustic barrier in the form of a thick-walled section at the upper end of the housing, a shell made in layers of graphite paper and metal foil is attached to the lower part of the housing.
EFFECT: increase in the signal-to-noise ratio, an increase in sensitivity, the use of an ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer in a wide temperature range from minus 196°C to plus 330°C is achieved.
