METHOD OF DETERMINING DEGREE OF AUTOIMMUNE PROCESS SEVERITY IN PATIENTS WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2471411 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to endocrinology and can be used for predicting course of autoimmune process in patients with hypothyroidism with autoimmune affection of thyroid gland. Analysis of functional indices of organism is carried out, total volume of thyroid gland and level of antibodies to thyreoperoxidase in blood being used as such. Degree of autoimmune process is calculated by formula: CPA=(-934.6+162.671×M+136.785×A-4.434×2M-3.28×MA-4.0462×A)/1000, where CPA is coefficient of process activity, M is total volume of thyroid gland (cm3), A is level of antibodies to thyreoperoxidase (IU/l). If CPA values are lower than 18, conclusion about light degree of severity of autoimmune process progressing is made. If CPA values are higher than 18 and lower than 45, conclusion about medium degree of severity is made. If CPA values are higher than 45, conclusion about severe degree of progressing of autoimmune process in thyroid gland is made.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of determination of degree of disease severity.
