METHOD OF APPLICATION OF INVAGINATED APPARATUS ANASTOMOSIS IN ANTERIOR-SUPERIOR RECTUM RESECTION FOR CANCER Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/11

Abstract RU 2471439 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgery and can be applied for application of invaginated apparatus anastomosis in anterior-superior resection of rectum for cancer. Rectum with tumour is ablated. On lateral sides of intestine from the side of mucosa 2 cm more distally than the line of rectum excision, one on each, interrupted mucous-muscular suture is applied with kapron thread, which are submerged into rectum and later used as holders. Apparatus anastomosis is applied in accordance with the standard method. Invaginating sutures are applied with kapron thread 2-3 cm more distally and proximally than anastomosis, with sewing distal part of anastomated intestine across the wall and proximal part of anastomated intestine- with two ends of suture thread in longitudinal direction, thus 4 sutures are applied. Apparatus is removed from intestine. Invaginate is formed by pulling applied in intestine lumen threads-holders through anus. Invaginating sutures around anastomosis are tied and cut off. Threads-holders are cut off in intestine lumen.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce risk of anastomosis failure.
