FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dressing of minerals and may be used in ore preliminary concentration and stages of concentration of off-grade and commercial ore. In sorting mineral stock fine fraction containing utility and final products, selected is section of mineral stock free fall to be divided into, at least, four sections. At first section, mineral stock is accelerated. At second section separation sign criterion is defined, section height being defined by stock free fall height. Third section height is set equal to at least that of free fall during actuator operation time, while fourth section height is set to make at least free fall height in preset measurement time interval. Proposed device comprises mineral stock accumulator with filling level control means, means to form continuous flow on mineral stock on conveying surfaces connected to aforesaid control means, and collector of separated products. Measurement assembly is located in zone of mineral stock free fall from conveying surface and consists of radiometric radiation transmitter and receiver. Comparator of obtained separation criterion with its preset threshold is connected to means of separating mineral stock in utility and final products that can very flow direction.

EFFECT: higher reliability, accuracy and efficiency.
