FIELD: metallurgy; sorting-out slags and extraction of additional silicon. SUBSTANCE: method includes separation of slags by roentgenoradiometric method through characteristic radiation of strontium and/or calcium; separation is performed by the following separation algorithm: η = NSr+K1NCa/Nqc+K2NSr, where η - is magnitude of separation sign; NSr is number of roentgen quanta corresponding to characteristic radiation of strontium; NCa is number of roentgen quanta corresponding to characteristic radiation of calcium; Nqc is scattered radiation of primary roentgen radiator; K1K2 are spectral coefficients selected from calcium-to-strontium ratio and determined experimentally; Ki corresponds to NSr/NCa ratio (for pure slag) and is set within (0.0-10.0) and K2 is selected from NSr/Nqc ratio (for pure silicon) and is set within (0.1- 0.5). EFFECT: enhanced ecology.
