FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: mould 1 is made from plastic billet 3. Proposed mould 1 comprises: two half-moulds 4, means to drive the latter between closed position whereat said half-moulds make cavity 6 to accommodate billet 3 or moulded container 2 and open position whereat half-moulds are spaced apart to allow extraction of moulded container 2 from cavity 6 or feeding another billet 3 in cavity 6. It has two jaws 7 arranged to displace between the position of engagement with billet or container and disengagement therefrom. Half-moulds 4 form inner section 9 of mould 1 to make jaws surrounded, at least partially, by half-moulds relative to external contour of said jaws. Invention covers also the method of making container from plastic billet 3 using above described mould.

EFFECT: simplified handling of billets and containers.
