FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of hollow cases. The latter are produced from two materials by multi-component injection moulding. Proposed device comprises: cavities 1 to mould the base or sets of cavities 1 with their number making n, cores 3 or set of cores 3 with their number 2n arranged between cavities (2a, 2b) or sets of cavities (2a, 2b) with their number n+1. Said cores are attached to core holder plate (32) arranged to move in crosswise direction (DT) on support plate (30) moving in lengthwise direction (DL) to allow inserting in turn each core 3 in one cavity 1 to mould the base to mould first layer, and in one cavity (2a, 2b) to mould second layer. Device incorporates also moulded hollow case extractor (P) and valve device (21) to distribute materials between cavities. Proposed method comprises the following stages: inserting rods in appropriate cavity, injecting base material and multi-component moulding material therein, controlling material distribution and extracting finished cases.

EFFECT: alternating sequential moulding operations.
