FIELD: textile fabrics, paper.
SUBSTANCE: method for treatment of flax fiber includes supply of fiber to group of carding elements, garnetting, after which fiber is separated in fractions, removal of chaff, trash and non-carded fibres, aerodynamic removal. In area of fiber feeding additional aerodynamic removal of fiber is carried out by air flow directed tangentially to carding element to the side of its rotation for realisation of separate removal of fibers. Device for treatment of flax fiber comprises feeding facility, two carding elements, aerodynamic removal facility. Downstream feeding table, above the first downstream carding element, there is additional removing aerodynamic facility that is formed by communicating confusors, at that ratio of the first carding element fittings teeth density to density of the second carding element fittings teeth is 1:0.4...1. Application of this group of inventions will make it possible to increase uniformity of fibers sorting according to extent of their hardness inside every fraction.
