SUBSTANCE: method corresponding to the invention involves the following stages: supply of the first signal (S1) that indicates the reduction of actual power (PEL) of generator; shaping of the second signal (KU) that indicates the interruption of short circuit depending on the first signal (S1); reset of the second signal (KU) after the first pre-determined time interval (TKU) and interlocking of the second signal for the second pre-determined time interval (TSPKU), shutdown and the next start-up of turbine depending on the second signal (KU); shaping of the third signal (LAW) that indicates load drop depending on the first signal (S1), as well as extended shutdown of turbine depending on the third signal (LAW).

EFFECT: invention allows providing stability of voltage and frequency in the mains both at load drop, and at interruption of short circuit.
