FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: rotary piston engine includes fixed housing, rotor, in which pressure and working cylinders with pistons are rigidly fixed, pressure chamber located inside rotor, piston movement conversion mechanism made in the form of piston-rods connected to pistons of cylinders and installed with possibility of being rotated, and gas-distribution, ignition and cooling system. Piston-rods of working cylinders are arc-shaped. Axes of working cylinders are offset in opposite directions from rotor rotation axis. Housing is equipped with inlet and outlet transverse channels located opposite pressure and working cylinders at the air inlet and exhaust gas outlet moments respectively. Inner surface of housing is made in the form of a cylinder and equipped with eccentric bore located in the zone of inlet channel. Cylinders are equipped with spring-loaded sealing elements installed with possibility of axial movement. Pressure cylinder and sealing element located in it are equipped with holes coinciding between themselves when the air is being bypassed to pressure chamber. Piston-rods of cylinders are hinged on fixed single-track shaft.
EFFECT: reduction of inertia forces and vibration; improvement of engine start-up reliability.
