FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention comprises sections, the first output terminals of which form output terminals of a multizone matrix frequency converter, and the second ones are connected in parallel to each other. Each section comprises cells connected in parallel to each other. The cell comprises a single-phase bridge, including four unidirectional keys, input terminals of which are output terminals of the cell, and a single-phase semi-controlled bridge, one arm of which comprises two unidirectional switches, and the other one - two diodes, input terminals of which represent input terminals of the cell, and output terminals are connected in an opposite-parallel manner with output terminals of the single-phase bridge. Primary windings of the transformer represent an input of a multizone matrix frequency converter, and secondary windings are combined into groups, by two serially connected windings of each phase in a group.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of a converter due to increased quality of conversion independently on load current, increased coefficient of transfer by voltage, improved application of switches by voltage.
