FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: broadcasting metadata may be generated for broadcasting information and may contain criteria of location and time used by terminals in order to filter broadcasting information. Each criterion of location and time may contain (i) a location criterion set by target location and requirement of presence or absence and (ii) a criterion of time set by a time period, in which the location criterion is applied. The terminal may receive broadcasting metadata before or together with broadcasting information, receive criteria of location and time from broadcasting metadata and filter information of broadcasting on the basis of time and location criteria. The terminal may assess each criterion of location and time by detection of its location within a certain period of time and detection of whether its location is inside or outside the specified target location, as specified by the presence or absence requirement.

EFFECT: provision of automatic identification of broadcasting information representing potential interest for a user.
