FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: rotating blade for steam turbine includes: shank area, aerodynamic surface area adjacent to shank area, crown area continuous with aerodynamic surface area and having crown's width and cover. Aerodynamic surface area adjacent to shank area has such a form to optimise aerodynamic characteristic providing at the same time optimised distribution of flow and minimum centrifugal and bending stresses. The cover is made as part of crown area. The cover forms radial seal that minimises losses at crown. The cover is wider than crown's width, so on speed the cover is clutched with cover of neighbouring blade located near it. The area of output annular channel of the blade amounts 0.461 m2. Blade working velocity range is from 5625 to 11250 revolutions per minute. Maximum mass flow of blade is 30.9 kg/s.
EFFECT: turbine blades can be effectively used in operation at higher working velocities.
