FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: rotating blade for steam turbine includes: root area, aerodynamic profile area adjacent to root area, top area and cover. Aerodynamic profile area adjacent to root area has such form to optimise aerodynamic characteristic with provision of optimal distribution of flow and minimum centrifugal and bending stresses. Top area adjacent to aerodynamic profile area has the width of the top. Cover is made as part of top area and forms radial seal that minimises top losses. Cover width exceeds top width so on the speed the cover interacts with adjacent cover of adjacent blade. Output runabout of blade amounts 0.143 m2. Blade working velocity range is from 5625 to 11250 revolutions per minute. Maximum mass flow for blade is 30.9 kg/s.

EFFECT: turbine blades can efficiently operate at increased working velocities.
