FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: multipurpose valve contains housing with inlet 4 and outlet 5 holes, seat 6 installed in annular bore made in housing on its inner surface, shutoff member 7 installed on shaft 8 with possibility of turn and pressure to seat 6, axis of shaft 8 rotation is arranged out of centre relative to longitudinal axis symmetry of shutoff member 7. Housing is detachable. Shutoff member is designed interacting with flow of controlled medium, it surface is ellipsoid.
EFFECT: simplifying control of flow of medium passing through valve, reducing hydraulic resistance of valve and thus reducing flow turbulence and cavitation phenomena, acoustic noise and vibrations, this allows increasing service life and reliability of valve, reducing loss of pressure head in net, reducing required power, dimensions, materials and energy consumption of valve drive mechanism.
