FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact coolers, in particular, to cooling towers and can be used at thermal power plants for recirculating water cooling. Fan cooling tower contains housing, spraying device, fluid collection tank and fan, wherein housing consists of two parts, upper part including sprinkler, and drop separator, between which spraying device manifold with whole flare nozzles is arranged and lower part, in which cooled water collecting water tank is arranged with installed on it fan, wherein housing is made of thin-sheet stainless steel, and in water collector tank there is diffuser, which is part of housing and connected to fan, made with plastic impeller and multi-speed motor, allowing during operation depending on weather conditions change of cooling tower performance due to change of air flow rate, and sprinkler contains tubular elements from thermoplastic material with latticed wall folded in layers parallel to each other, wherein at ends tubular elements are welded to each other, tubular elements are made with triangular cross section and between each layer of tubular elements strip from thermoplastic material is laid across tubular elements along each of their ends, welded to tubular elements in places of their contact with strip, wherein during welding melting tubular elements end sections and strips laid between them and forming unit solid end walls, wherein of each of tubular elements cavities and annular space are filled with nozzle elements. Nozzle element is made in form of cylindrical ring, on side, inner and outer, surfaces of which screw thread is made, or in form of ball, on surface of which semi-spherical shaped blind bores are made, or in form of cylindrical ring, on side, inner, surface of which partitions are fixed in form of washers with holes perpendicular to ring axis, which axes are asymmetric to ring axis, or in form of inscribable into circle unit, consisting of seven interconnected by lateral faces hexagonal parallelepipeds without upper and lower bases.

EFFECT: technical result is cooling tower performance improvement.
