FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: device is equipped with a measuring rod whose bottom part has a sensor with a heel and needle-like contacts which are connected by wires to an electronic circuit, located with a power supply and a light-emitting diode in an indicator housing at the top end of the rod.
EFFECT: device simplifies the design and maintenance, cuts the time for detecting bottom water in containers without using aqueous and gasoline pastes, increases accuracy of measuring the level of the boundary surface of liquids of different densities, particularly water and liquid organic media.
