FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to proton-conducting membranes to be used in electrochemical current sources, for example, in medium-temperature solid-polymer fuel cells. Proposed method consists in treatment of porous polymer film from polyethylene or propylene containing 20-45 wt % of silicon dioxide in its pores by orthophosphoric acid. Said treatment is carried out for 1-2 h at temperatures of up to 200 degrees Centigrade, in the range of polymer fusion point.
EFFECT: simplified process, increased time of storage in air.
