FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to install a powered support for a longwall set of equipment, including arrangement of a mounting chamber of reduced width with a tunnelling combine, with provision of a niche on the upper joint of the mounting chamber, and cleaning of the mine soil. At the same time installation of the face conveyor and the shearer-loader is carried out prior to start of powered support installation, they are retained by means of hydraulic jacks fixed in the mine soil with an anchor fixture. If required, the soil is cut with coal loading onto a scraper conveyor of the tunnelling combine. Then the coal strip is excavated with the shearer-loader in separate stages with shearer-loader return after each stage towards the upper niche and erection of temporary and permanent powered support. Upon completion of chamber expansion, the shearer-loader is brought into the upper niche, and powered support sections are installed.
EFFECT: higher safety and reduced time for preparatory works by means of their combination.
