FIELD: mineral mining from bedded deposits by cross-pitch long-pillar method. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of mined field for mining by cross-pitch long-pillar method. In this case, belt heading is driven larger than vent drift by wall length. Belt conveyor is assembled in belt heading; telescopic part of conveyor is located behind longwall face-to-drift junction. Coal is extracted by front shearer which extracts bottom band while advancing towards vent drift, and pulls conveyor belt from telescopic part through unit of belt deflection located on longwall face-to-drift junction. In this case, ceiling is supported by anchors. Shearer in its movement back, extracts top band and breaks anchors. Rock pressure is controlled by roof caving with the help of mechanized plant and by transfer of support props, and mechanized drilling of boreholes. EFFECT: higher efficiency of mining the thick gently dipping coal seams by cross-pitch long-pillar method due to sharp reduction of labor input in mounting and dismantling of stoping equipment. 6 dwg
