FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: expired air is sampled of the volume min. 1 dm3, collected in a package, heated for 30 minutes at temperature 56-64°C; further, the air is pumped through a sorbent tube through the sorbent Tenax at rate 0.2 l/min for 10 minutes; then the sorbent tube with the air sample is exposed to thermal desorption by heating to temperature 280°C in a thermal desorption unit, and gas - nitrogen is passed through to entrain the analysed air into a trap of the thermal desorption unit cooled to minus 10°C; then the trap is heated to 250°C; and the concentrated air sample is transferred by the carrier gas nitrogen into a working capillary column of a gas chromatograph for analysis; then the flow of the carrier gas and the air are separated as 1:14, while acrylonitrile amount is measured by a calibration curve by absolute calibration of commercial mixtures.

EFFECT: higher analysis accuracy and sensitivity.
