SUBSTANCE: method of controlling power involves estimating, for an access terminal associated with a first access point, noise caused by the access terminal at a second access point, based on downlink signals from the second access point, the transmission power parameter for the access terminal is determined for attenuating said noise caused by the access terminal at the second access point, and the transmission power parameter is sent to the access terminal.

EFFECT: easier control of noise attenuation.
