The method of managing interference in a wireless communication system, carried out by a network node, involves defining a receive attenuation profile, wherein the receive attenuation profile defines different attenuation values over time; defining maximum and minimum attenuation levels for the receive attenuation profile; defining a time period for the receive attenuation profile; and sending the receive attenuation profile and at least one indication of the receive attenuation profile to a plurality of access points.
