FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polycondensation reactors used to produce complex polyethers in melt. Reactor comprises horizontally elongated element including elongated tubular elements and flute arranged there inside. Note here that said flute extends along half the length of tubular element to divide its inner space into top and bottom chambers. Reactor segment defines flow section nearby reactor segment one end to allow through communication between said top and bottom chambers. Proposed method comprises conducting chemical reaction in reaction medium inside the reactor wherein reaction medium flow in one direction in said flute and, in general, in, opposite direction on tubular element bottom, and said reaction medium comprises raw stock for polycondensation containing PET with mean chain length of 5 to 50.
EFFECT: high-efficiency production of polyether, reduced costs.
