FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polycondensation reactors used to produce complex polyethers in melt. Reactor comprises horizontally elongated vessel, medium feed inlet arranged nearby vessel top, and plates vertically distributed in said vessel. Note here that every plate has intake end and discharge end while product outlet is located at vessel bottom. Method of producing polyethers comprises feeding reaction medium through said reactor. Note here that said medium flows across, at least, two plates for medium to be subjected to chemical reaction. Note also that reaction medium comprises medium fed for polycondensation. Note that fed medium includes PET with mean chain length varying from 5 to 50. Note that polycondensation is said chemical reaction.
EFFECT: high-efficiency process, minimised costs at high quality of finished product.
