FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polycondensation reactors for producing polyethers in melt. Reactor comprises collector elongated in vertical and reactor multiple segments spaced in vertical and elongated in horizontal that are communicated with said collector to extend therefrom outward. Note here that, at least, two reactor segments have near end connected with collector and far end remote from collector. Note here that segments comprise elongated tubular element and trough arranged there inside. Note that said trough extends along half the length of tubular element to divide tubular inside into top and bottom chambers communicated with collector at near end. Proposed method comprises subjecting reaction medium to chemical reaction. Note that said medium flows in and out from reactor segment via collector and comprises polycondensation stock including PETF with mean chain length of 5 to 50.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, lower costs.
