FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of increasing physical and mechanical indices of silica-alumina refractory materials with high content of Al2O3. The stated objective is achieved by impregnation of separate refractory materials with an aqueous solution of acid aluminophosphate of Al(H2PO4)3 type with density of 1.52 g/cm3 under normal conditions for 6-8 hours with subsequent thermal treatment at 250-350°C for 2 hours. The impregnation composition is produced by mixing of sludge from alkaline etching of aluminium in the amount of 35-45 wt % with orthophosphoric acid of 60% concentration (balance).
EFFECT: considerable increase of physical and thermal indices of a silica-alumina refractory material, namely, chamotte of ShA type, which will positively affect durability of thermal device linings.
