SUBSTANCE: water-carrying domestic appliance comprises at least the following components: an evacuating pump, a control device that controls the evacuating pump, and a protective switch, having at least one switching position that reacts at undesirable water leak. The protective switch is connected with the control device and is arranged as capable of switching into the first switching position to establish connection of the control device with a power supply network, whenever the domestic appliance is off, and there is an unwanted water leak.
EFFECT: higher reliability of a device and reduced losses of idle operation capacity.
