FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method is implemented from introduction means of modified forward wavelet-conversion unit based on Morley wavelet, which is connected at its input to the output of broad-band linear part, and at its output to the input of optimum detector. Modified forward wavelet conversion procedure is performed in compliance with the following expression: , where S(t) - input signal of the unit; W(a,b) - output signal of the unit; ψ(a,b,t) - basis built by means of scale coefficient "a" and time shift "b" within the duration of the received signal in the form of for actual or supposed part of Morley wavelet in the form of where t - time, f - frequency, i - complex variable, π=3.14; K - constant multiplier satisfying the inequality K>>Sm, where Sm - unit input signal amplitude; c - constant multiplier satisfying the inequality c≥3.
EFFECT: improvement of resolution capability as to time and provided potential measurement accuracy of temporary position of impulse signal.
