FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes an image sensor in which pixel groups perform photoelectric conversion of the image object from the region of the exit pupil. A focus detection module calculates defocusing based on image signals obtained from multiple pixel groups. An image processing module converts data of the captured image into an image file for recording and storage. A data recording module records, in association with the image file, signals obtained from pixel groups such that defocusing can be calculated.
EFFECT: enabling the recording of focus detection points and focus detection data obtained when capturing an image into an image file, enabling use of focus detection data by the user.
