FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely orthopaedics, and may be used in treating varus femoral neck in growing children. What is used is adductor myotomy. Muscle tendons are dissected away from anterosuperior, anteroinferior iliac spines and a lesser trochanter. A broad fascia is crosswise transected. Within a base of Adam's arch, between the lesser trochanter and an attachment point of a joint capsule, a periosteum is excised along a medial surface of femur of the width of 4-5 mm and the length equal to a half-circle. A growth plate of a greater trochanter is compressed with a screw brought in the direction perpendicular to a plane of the growth plate.
EFFECT: method provides gradual unassisted correction of a neck-shaft angle with child's growth, reduced injuries.
