FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spraying coatings on can body surfaces. Device for applying coatings on multiple bodies of cans comprises means for stepwise transfer for consecutive placement of every can body from the set of can bodies to multiple discrete angular positions. Besides, this device comprises system to feed coating material coupled with one said angular position of multiple angular positions. Also, device comprises first servo drive engaged with aforesaid material feed system to displace it linearly. Said drive displaces said system horizontally and perpendicular to the place defined by can body opening. Besides, it is possible to selectively decrease the distance between stepwise displacement drive and coating material feed system. Besides, this device may comprise the frame, feeder supported by the frame and comprising runner for consecutive feed of multiple can bodies into the device. Besides, this device comprises rotary step mechanism including multiple arms extending radially from the hub. End of every arm is furnished with vacuum cartridge. Every cartridge is communicated with the source of negative pressure for locking one can body at vacuum cartridge extracted from said runner. Device may incorporate second servo drive engaged with first spraying nozzle to control is transfer relative to can inner surface. Device external controller connected with second servo drive to feed thereto the first signal for displacement of first nozzle in rest time interval to decrease distance between first nozzle and rotary step mechanism.

EFFECT: higher efficiency, simultaneous spraying on wet previous layer in can bodies.
