FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: optical unit mounted on a supporting member curves light flux falling from an object using a prism for directing light flux to a capturing section. A front cover closes part of the lens carrier and is arranged such that the lens carrier lies between the supporting member and the front cover. An image recording element is placed near the capturing section. A heat conducting element is connected to the supporting element and the front cover. Side covers close the heat conducting element. Heat conduction of the side covers is lower than that of the front cover.

EFFECT: efficient heat removal and preventing local increase in temperature of the capturing section.
