FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: device for measurement of axial thickness of ophthalmic lens comprises fastener for fastening mandrel of forming optics, measuring device comprising a displacement sensor, a processor connected to measuring device; data storage device of digital medium, connected to processor and storing program code, that is executed by request and serves for storing digital data describing list of metrological data, obtaining input of digital data from measuring device, containing reference measurement M1 of mandrel of forming optics without lens and measuring M2 lens at same forming optics, and calculating value of axial thickness of lens by subtraction of metrological data obtained when measuring M1 and M2.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of determining thickness of ophthalmic lens.
