FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: cable (3) with at least two identifiable male connectors at the cable ends (1, 2); at least one connector (4, 9) is equipped with at least one signal sensor (5, 6) connected to at least one electric signal wire (21, 22) inside the cable (3) with at least one more connector (9, 4) at the other end of the cable so that in case of power delivery into the electric signal wire (21, 22) at one connector at least one signal sensor (5, 6) is activated at another connector; additionally proposed is a method for identification of the cord connectors consisting in laying the cable with at least one electric control conductor, at least one indicator element in the male connector at the cable end, at least one activating element in the male connector at the cable end for power delivery into the electric control conductor for supply of power to the indicator element of the cable element to be identified by way of power delivery into the electric control conductor from the activating element which results in activation of the indicator in the male connector as well as for identification of a connector pertaining to the cable according to the indicator reading.

EFFECT: invention enables reduction of costs, time losses, labour intensity and work operations number.
