SUBSTANCE: in current standards of digital television, for instance, DVB-T, transmitters in SFN send exactly one and the same signal on one and the same frequency at one and the same time. As a result a channel visible by a receiver is a channel developed by SFN characterised by very long propagation of a delay, which may be stimulating for assessment. According to this invention different, preferably orthogonal, pilot sequences are assigned to various transmitters in one and the same SFN, so that the receiver may assess channels of propagation from each transmitter of the receiver itself independently.
EFFECT: receiver may expect a propagation channel from each transmitter to itself independently without a requirement of a dense pilot structure.
