SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods, user equipment and a base radio station in a communication network, in which no coverage of a downlink is detected on the basis of measurements performed along a common channel or along a combination of common and dedicated channels. Then no coverage is communicated to the network, or with application of resources, proactively assigned to user equipment, or by means of transfer of a predetermined template of signature sequences assigned to user equipment.
EFFECT: more accurate detection of availability or absence of coverage.
