SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunication systems. Method of selecting at least one antenna of a plurality of antennas for receiving uplink transmissions from UE includes steps of: assigning a given UE a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource, receiving one or more messages from antenna devices having said plurality of antennas, wherein said messages indicate SRS reception at said assigned SRS resource, and selecting at least one antenna based on said one or more messages.

EFFECT: technical result is improved planning of cells and efficient uplink antenna selection for user equipment (UE).
