FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling, particularly, to calibration of rolling stand 3. Prior to rolling, set of rolls is compressed by preset radial force to measure rolling stand strain, preferable, at cylinder-and-piston unit 6, 7. To define symmetric strain source and/or elongation of rolling stand 3, relative position of rolls set turn is defined. Said position of rolls set turn and/or rolling stand stiffness modules M defined therefrom are used in subsequent rolling for calculations intended for mounting the set of rolls. Note here that rolls 1, 2 allow relative axial rearrangement. Note here that definition of turn position for setting symmetric strain source and/or definition of said modulus M are determined with said rolls 1, 2 shifted relative to each other. Defined said turn position and/or stiffness modulus M are loaded into memory to be used for further computation of turn position and/or mounting rolls set in rolling.
EFFECT: higher precision of rolling.
