FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: for changing the rotation speed of turbine unit rotors, a control signal providing maximum efficiency value is shaped. For that purpose, passport characteristics of turbine units are approximated with polynomials, as per which there determined is an analytical expression for maximum efficiency and an equation of the line of equal efficiencies, which is solved together with the load equation, and namely pipeline. The result of that equation is used to determine the rotation speed value of turbine units by solving the equation of their head characteristic relative to the rotation speed, which is used as the task for rotor rotation speed varying device.

EFFECT: obtaining maximum possible efficiency of turbine units regardless of the pipeline characteristic.
