FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used in pumping water out of open-pit in warm season. Method of pit drying includes cyclic pumping of quarry waters to surface using connected to pipeline network of pump units operating in design mode with provision of required water flow at optimum values of efficiency, periodic transitions from design mode of operation to high-efficiency due to change of pressure characteristic of pipeline network by releasing part of water flow into ambient atmosphere from irrigation devices connected to pipeline network, and control of high-efficiency operating modes within the limits of working range of pressure characteristics of pumps due to adjustment of water flow rate by means of shutoff and control valves. Extraction of quarry water to the surface is performed with the help of pumping units the rated operating mode of which is within the range of optimum values of efficiency up to maximum value at increase of pump supply. Release of part of water flow into ambient atmosphere at high-efficiency modes of operation of pump units is carried out in zones of convective movement of air masses, and when controlling high-efficiency modes, the dispersion of water drops sprayed with irrigation devices is changed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of pumping units efficiency due to reduction of transportation distance and lifting height of part of quarry water volume at maintaining design capacity of water discharge plant, which reduces power consumption for water discharge.
