SUBSTANCE: sliding bearing includes a housing and at least one sliding element installed on the housing, at least the sliding surfaces of which have nanostructured ceramic coating made from powder of silicon carbide with fractions of: nanorange - from 50 to 100 nm, submicron level - from 0.2 to 0.5 mcm and micron level - from 1 to 10 mcm, at content of fractions, wt %: fractions of nanorange 40-60, submicron level 30-40 and micron level 10-20.

EFFECT: complex improvement of the bearing operating characteristics due to maximum reduction of friction coefficient, improvement of wear resistance, hardness, thermal stability, heat resistance, at simultaneous increase in ductility and strength of antifriction ceramic layer due to its nanostructuring.
