FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in monitoring of coolant flow. Coolant temperature and flow are measured in supply and return pipelines of each heat consumer connected to a heating main. If coolant temperature in a supply or a return pipeline in any heat consumer increases, and value of coolant flow does not change with simultaneous reduction of coolant temperature in a similar pipeline in the next heat consumer along the coolant flow, a conclusion is made on availability of a leakage or on unauthorised extraction of the coolant on the section of the heating main between such heat consumers.
EFFECT: provision of accuracy of heating main technical condition diagnostics.
