FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: parameters selected to describe engine operating conditions comprises the following quantities. Engine inlet air temperature - Tenv, barometric pressure - Penv, gas full temperature downstream of low-pressure turbine - T4*, air full pressure downstream of high-pressure compressor - PK, rpm of low- (n1) and high-pressure (n2) rotors. Initial magnitudes comprise relationships T4*in. red.=f(n1red.), Pk*in. red.= f(n1red.) and T4*in. meas.=f(n2meas.) defined by parameters measured at the start of operation and reduced to standard atmospheric conditions. Maximum tolerable parameters ΔT4*red., ΔT4*meas. and ΔPK*red. measured from initial parameters are defined by calculation-statistical method. Note here that in case two parameters of, at least one of said relationships, fall beyond tolerances, engine operation is terminated for diagnostics and servicing. In case parameter ΔT4*red. falls beyond tolerances, scheduled jobs are performed to improve operation of compressors, low- and high-pressure turbines, and combustion chamber. In case parameter ΔT4*meas. falls beyond tolerances, scheduled jobs are performed to improve operation of compressors, high-pressure turbine, and combustion chamber. In case parameter Pk*in. red. falls beyond tolerances, compressor flow section is flushed.

EFFECT: better diagnostics, higher reliability.
