FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves extraction of metals from a liquid aqueous phase into the organic component of a demixing system and determining the metal concentrate on an electrode. The extracting agent is prepared by mixing thiopyrine and salicylic acid in molar ratio of 2:1 and fusion at temperature of 166-170°C. Further, 10 ml of a model aqueous solution with corresponding metal additives is added and zinc, cadmium, lead and copper are determined using instrumental techniques.
EFFECT: safer and efficient method which enables to extract chalcophilic metals from solutions.
