FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to dentistry, and can be applied for orthopedic rehabilitation of patients with post-operative defects of upper jaw. Jaw prosthesis-obturator is made monolithic and contains two functional elements: basis of prosthesis with artificial teeth from hard polyurethane and obturator from elastic polyurethane. Lower boundary of obturator tightly fits mucous membrane of anastomosis of operation field with covering zones of undercuts and areas of anatomical retention. Obturator does not totally replicate post-operative defect and has form of hollow bowl-shaped construction. Boundaries of obturator can have different width and length. Cheek-facing surface of obturator has maximum possible height and rounded butt end part, which rests against bone structures of upper boundary of post-operative defect.

EFFECT: ensuring reliable fixation of jaw prosthesis on boundaries of post-operative defect in patients with total absence of teeth, improvement of aesthetic characteristics patient outlook due to covering cheek scar and support of soft tissues of cheek, recovery of their phonetics due to hollow bowl-shaped form of obturator, which compensates resonator properties of paranasal cavities of nose and does not prevent passing of air flow.
